Buying clothes online without trying them on is the single biggest reason returns happen. It's also entirely avoidable. Here's how to buy the right size on a made-to-order piece from Ghana without ever setting foot in a store.
Step 1: Measure Yourself, Not Guess
Get a soft tape measure or a piece of string plus a ruler.
Chest
Around the fullest part, under the arms, tape flat. Note the number.
Waist
Around your natural waistline — above your hips, below your ribs. Do not suck in.
Hips
Around the fullest part of your hips.
Inseam
From the crotch seam of trousers that fit, down the inside leg to the hem.
Step 2: Compare to a Piece You Own
Take a t-shirt you love the fit of. Lay it flat. Measure the width from armpit to armpit, and the length from the shoulder seam to the hem. Write these down — they're your reference for every top you buy online.
Step 3: Use the Brand's Chart, Not the Category's
Every brand sizes differently. "Medium" at one brand can be "Large" at another. Always compare your measurements to the specific brand's size chart — not a general assumption.
Step 4: The Between-Sizes Rule
Between a Medium and a Large? Consider the piece. Tees and polos — size down for a fitted look, size up for relaxed. Sweatpants — size up for comfort. Jorts and denim — size to your waist, expect denim to give slightly with wear.
Step 5: Made-to-Order = Message First
The advantage of made-to-order: you can talk to the maker. If you're between sizes, or want the top a size different from the bottom in a set, message UNDC on WhatsApp before you order. We cut to you.
Return-Proof Ordering
Measure yourself once, save the numbers in your phone notes, and reference them every time you shop online. Returns become nearly impossible — and the pieces you receive fit the first time.
